- For Secondary Teacher (Classes 9–10, Paper I):
- Bachelor’s degree in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks
- B.Ed. degree is mandatory
- For Senior Secondary Teacher (Classes 11–12, Paper II):
- Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject with minimum Second Division
- B.Ed. degree required (except for Computer Science, where B.Ed. is not mandatory)
- Relaxation:
- Candidates from SC / ST / EBC / BC / Divyang categories are eligible for 5% marks relaxation.
